efore becoming a writer while living in Manhattan, Matthew Quinn Martin was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. Now he lives a quieter life, still in the United States, on a little island off the coast in the North Atlantic where the winters are especially quiet, too quiet even. And it is this solitude and quietness that allows one's imagination to take hold and produce horror novels such as

nter Beth Becker. She's a bartender at a New Harbor nightclub by night and a monster hunter even later at night. Jack Jackson (oh, how original!) is also a monster hunter, working out of his APEX Security (keeping apex predators safe, perhaps?) van.
