lthough the eleven stories in this collection are written by Australian authors, they will appeal to a wide range of youngsters residing in any country. What I particularly like about these stories is that they are designed to inspire the child to jump right in and read by himself or aloud to someone.

hey are humorous and, as you progress through the collection, the stories become longer and begin to feature short chapters.

he delightful characters you'll meet include a pirate in search of a ship, aliens in pajamas, an accident prone cousin, an unexpected escape from Gibblewort the Goblin, a dog who loves football, and a big brother who can fix anything.

rankly, I intended to read just one or two of these stories but found them so much fun I read the book from cover to cover. I think your youngster will probably do the same thing!
