Maisy First Experiences
book follows Maisy and her friends as they go to the neighborhood swimming pool for the first time. You'll see how the little white mouse collects everything she'll need, like a bathing suit, towel, and goggles, before she meets Eddie and Tallulah who are going to accompany her to the pool.
O
nce they arrive, the friends first must go to the changing room where they slip into their suits and place their clothing in a locker. Then it is on to the pool where Eddie jumps right in. Maisy and Tallulah are a little more timid, but they also slip into the water on the shallow end.
N
ext, the swim teacher arrives and the lessons begin. Using kickboards, the new swimmers learn to use their legs and feet to propel themselves. Maisy also tries to float and discovers it is lots of fun.
O
nce the lesson is finished everyone gets out of the pool and heads back to the locker room. They all take a shower and then have a little snack. Everyone agrees that it has been a fun afternoon!
T
his is an excellent little book to read before your child has his or her first swimming lesson. It covers what will happen at the pool and put the child's mind at ease. Also, there's quite a bit of text here, so beginning readers will find this an enjoyable story too!
