A series of questions encourage the child to flip to see what might be hidden behind a colorful flap that represents rocks, a sailboat, a large beach ball, a sand castle and some seaweed. The critters behind the flaps include a seal (Arf! Arf!), a dolphin (Eeek! Eeek!), a seagull (Squawk! Squawk!) and even a crab (Snap! Snap!) And, on the final page there is a double flap that hides a very special surprise I'll let you discover for yourself. This is a sturdy board book that invites the child to get involved and mimic the sounds of a group of common beach critters. What fun!
