he muted colors (pastels) of this picture book's illustrations match the simple story about a girl and her grandmother sharing some pancakes and apricot jam. The old woman remembers her youth and how delicious the jam was back in the country where she was born.

ou'll have to read this picture book to see how the child accomplishes this task. I have to admit I was a little unclear exactly what happened here myself, but perhaps you can figure it out!

his is an interesting story about a child's love for her grandparent, although it may leave you with a question or two!
