Any child, boy or girl, who loves trucks will find this a super, fun board book. Open the first page and you'll find an ice-cream truck with a problem. It breaks down and blocks a very narrow city street. Soon a mail truck, a truck loaded with hay, a pickup carrying shrubs, and a big crane truck are backed up.

The traffic congestion gets worse with moving vans, delivery trucks, a vehicle carrying pigs, a tanker, cement mixer, and many more trucks. Even a tow truck is caught in the mess and can't make it to the front of the line to haul away the stalled ice cream truck.

As a crowd gathers and the line gets longer and longer, a little boy comes up with a clever idea for clearing the mess. Not only does it work, but the youngster is also rewarded with an ice cream cone!

This is also a counting book but it is the variety of trucks holding center stage that will fascinate young readers. But, if you need something to count, the only thing better than trucks (to my way of thinking) would be train cars or airplanes!
