His name is Rufus and he likes to go everywhere with me. One day Rufus followed me to school and all the kids liked him so much he was able to stay. Not only did Rufus play with us outside but he also helped us paint. Oh, what a mess! At lunch time Rufus shared everyone's food and when we worked in the school garden, he helped us dig and weed. By the end of the day my dog was really a mess so I had to take him home and give him a bath. Then it was time for a story and bed. Guess who slept with me? Of course, my best buddy! If you know the hickory, dickory, dock nursery rhyme, you'll see how it is worked into my story. Look for the clocks on each page too. Maybe you can count them to see how many there are. Have fun reading about my dog's day at school. If you have a pet, I think you'll really like this funny picture book.
