T
his is one of the best series I have seen which encourages youngsters five or six and older to create their own stories to accompany the full page illustrations provided.
O
n the inside cover the authors introduce the central characters and provide a single sentence about each one. After that there are double page scenarios provided that show various scenes. It is up to the viewer to provide a story to accompany what he or she is seeing.
T
his third book in the series is set during medieval times and it appears that the king has been kidnapped and that a fair maiden is in distress. The closer you look, the more you'll discover about the seeming chaos that unfolds on each page.
A
creative family can make this book into a nightly activity, adding and subtracting to an ever expanding story line. Actually, make what you will of all of this – there is no limit to your creativity.
T
he extra thick pages are a blessing here because I think this book will be used a lot and will have to stand up to much wear and tear but I'm sure it will. So have fun and let your creativity take over as you enjoy this book.
