Waiting Is Not Easy!: An Elephant and Piggie Book    by Mo Willems Order:  USA  Can Hyperion, 2014 (2014) Hardcover     Reviewed by Bob Walch This latest Elephant & Piggy picture book finds Gerald waiting for a surprise. Of course, the question is can the elephant be patient and wait until Piggy is ready to spring the surprise on him? 'GROAN! Oh, well, if I have to wait, I will wait,' Gerald says. As both Gerald and the reader will discover, 'waiting is not easy'. Gerald even threatens to not wait any more but, of course, he does. Finally he bellows, 'We have waited and waited and waited and waited! And for what!?' Then you flip the page and see what all the waiting was for. Naturally I'll not spoil the surprise, but I have to admit I was a tad disappointed. It was pretty cool, but for some reason I expected something quite different.
