We Have a Plan    by Chris Haughton Order:  USA  Can Candlewick, 2014 (2014) Hardcover      Reviewed by Bob Walch If you and your child enjoyed Little Owl Lost and Oh No, George by Chris Haughton, you'll definitely love this latest book by the author. Four somewhat nondescript characters with large eyes are out looking to trap a bird. The smallest of the four sees an exquisite bird up in a tree and says, 'Hello Birdie'. His companions hush him though because they have a plan to net the bird. Needless to say, the plan doesn't work and this moment is repeated again and again in this humorous picture book. In the end you'll realize that perhaps the little fellow's approach is best, but no matter – the bird expedition ends in failure. Haughton lets his illustrations do most of the talking and keeps the text to a minimum. You'll certainly get the idea, though, and find this book to be as funny as its two predecessors.
