The picture book features Uncle Si assisting Santa in making a child's Christmas a memorable occasion. The rhymed text follows Uncle Si's antics as he makes the child a special gift and then delivers it with the help of an elf named Little Bobby Willie. Not to forget the whole reason for celebrating Christmas, Si reminds us at the end of the story that Jesus came 'Christmas morn as a best friend to you. Be a good friend and share the real reason why we give gifts and celebrate this season.' All well and good, but this pricey little package with book and doll is an attempt to take advantage of the television series' popularity and add a few more bucks to the family's bank account. I might give this as a gag gift, but I don't think this will be in my bag of holiday goodies for any children in the family!
