T
his oversized anniversary edition of Karen Katz's
Baby
book is constructed around a series of questions such as '
Where are baby's eyes?
' and '
Where is baby's mouth?
'
O
n the opposite page from the question is an extra large illustration of a baby, and a flip the flap that answers the question. The vibrant colors and oversized pictures are eye appealing, but young children will have a challenging time trying to turn the pages and flip the flaps. This is more of a lap book where Mom or Dad can ask the questions and also handle the paging and flap chores.
I
ncreasing the book's size for this special edition might have seemed like a good idea but it will frustrate toddlers who would much rather turn the pages themselves, and the flaps will rip if the youngster is not careful.
