his die-cut picture book with its large, colorful illustrations and flip the flap pages retells one of the most beloved of the fables written by Aesop. When the mouse needs assistance reaching some juicy berries, the lion is more than willing to help the little fellow.

says the mouse. '
One day, I shall be happy to help you in return.

f course the lion is rather skeptical. '
I can't imagine a mighty beast like me ever needing help from a little mouse like you!

ell, guess what? Soon the mighty lion finds himself in a dire predicament and who comes to his rescue? Of course, it is the little mouse!

'll let you discover why the lion needs help but you and your youngster will love reading this story about a very unlikely pair of creatures who discover that good deeds are rewarded and that size is not always the essential factor when one needs help.
