O
ne of the fears a child sometimes has when he or she is taken to preschool for the first time is that his/her parent won't come back to take him/her home. This book addresses that fear.
D
aniel is OK with spending some time at school but when his father gets ready to leave him and head off to work, the small tiger is a little bit worried. '
I don't want you to go. I want you to stay and be with me,
' Daniel says.
H
is father tries to set Daniel at ease by telling him that he'll have fun with his friends and that his teacher will take good care of him. '
I will come back and pick you up, because grown-ups come back,
' Daniel's dad says.
O
f course, the rest of the day goes well and Daniel's dad naturally does return at day's end.
I
f your child has some misgivings about attending school, this little, inexpensive book may well help set the youngster's mind at ease. It is certainly worth a try.
