A
imed at youngsters up to about the age of three, this fold-the-flap picture book follows a toddler who is enjoying the delights of spring.
T
he outdoor activities include making mud pies, gazing at a rainbow, checking out a bird nest, and picking some flowers. When all the fun is over, baby needs to clean up by taking a bath and then it is time for bed.
T
he baby's puppy accompanies her on the day's activities and then snuggles down with her underneath the covers. Behind each flap are not only the sounds that accompany each picture but sometimes additional visual surprises as well.
L
arge illustrations and plenty of detail make this a book any child will enjoy looking at. And when someone reads the story aloud, the youngster can supply the sound effects such as '
Drip, drop! Splat! Quack! Quack! Chirp! Chirp!
'
