Meet Geoffrey, the young giraffe.
He's very, very tall.
With a very, very long neck ...
And sometimes he’s very, very clumsy.'
B
ecause of his wibbly-wobbly legs and bendy-buckly knees, Geoffrey often trips, skips and flips. This especially happens when he tries to play with other animals like meerkats and baby elephants. And at the watering hole it is not unusual for poor Geoffrey to splish and splosh and then SPLASH as he tumbles into the water. How embarrassing!
T
hen one day this dejected giraffe meets some little monkeys trying to get back up into their tree. Not only does he help them but Geoffrey also discovers that way up in the branches are birds.
'
Nobody else can reach up here where we live. We'd love to be your friends?
' tweet the birds.
W
ow, now Geoffrey has more friends than he can count with the monkeys and birds. And, what's best of all is this little giraffe doesn't have to bend over to play with his buddies.
B
ig, bold illustrations capture the adventures of Geoffrey and they are sure to appeal to preschoolers who may, from time to time, feel a little unsure of themselves or wobbly on their feet just like this cute giraffe.
