o you like magical books, fluffy dragons, and villains? How about fire kittens, an ill-tempered dwarf, and a zombie duck? If so, then
Fluff Dragon
is the book for you!
M
ax is the only person around who can read the magical book,
The Codex of Infinite Knowability
. But the book is not working and Max must journey to the book's birthplace to reset it. And he must keep the book from falling into the wrong hands.
M
ax, friends Sarah and Dirk, an ill-tempered dwarf named Dwight, and a talking dagger named Glenn embark on their perilous journey. They befriend a fluff dragon and fire kittens while defeating giants, a nasty unicorn called Princess, and orcs. Their ultimate enemy, however, is Rezormoor Dreadbringer who is influencing the Guild of Toupee Makers to kill all the dragons. And Dreadbringer also wants The Codex.
B
ut who can be trusted in a world where your travels may or may not lead you to your destination, checked luggage will not end up where you do, and accidental death is possible (and that is just from teleporting!)? And can you really trust an elf who has
elf esteem
issues? Max soon realizes that '
Half the problems in this world are because people don't see what's on the inside, only what's on the outside
', wise insight indeed.
R
eaders aged eight to twelve will enjoy following Max on his uproariously funny journey. I was laughing my way through the pages as I read this novel that in some ways reminded me of the
Harry Potter
series, but funnier.
