My New Friend Is So Much Fun!: Elephant & Piggie    by Mo Willems Order:  USA  Can Hyperion, 2014 (2014) Hardcover      Reviewed by Bob Walch Here's the latest in the humorous Piggie and Elephant series of picture books. As the title suggests, both Piggie and Gerald have new friends. In Gerald's case it is Snake while Piggie has met Brian Bat. As it turns out, Brian is Snake's best friend just as Piggie is Gerald's best buddy. Ever the worry wart, Gerald begins to be afraid that Brian and Piggie might be having too much fun playing together. Gerald says, 'They could be having more fun than they have with us!' Now he has Snake worried too. 'Maybe they do not need us,' continues Gerald. 'I do not want to lose my best friend!!!' Snake feels the same way. 'We must do something! We must tell them to stop having fun!' Off go Gerald and Snake to stop their best friends from playing together. I'll stop here and let you discover what happens next but, as usual, you'll be surprised and delighted by how this story ends. Mo Willems has again created one of those clever conclusions that make these Elephant and Piggie stories so memorable and enjoyable to read.
