I
n this latest Mister Bud and Zorro adventure, Mister Bud has a problem with too much scratching. Not only does the big dog get all the attention from their owner, which makes the smaller dog jealous, but Mister Bud also has to wear a cone to keep him from making the skin situation worse.
W
hen their owner goes out, Zorro misbehaves and also taunts his friend, who has a problem seeing with the cone. When a lamp gets broken Zorro gleefully says, 'Now you did it! Here she comes! You're in trouble!'
D
oes Mister Bud have to face the music when his owner sees the mess? You may be surprised at the story's conclusion, but it is funny and, just in case you are wondering, Zorro doesn't get the last laugh.
T
his humorous tale about friendship and jealousy will also help explain to a young child why a pet sometimes has to wear an unwieldy cone to deal with a medical or skin condition.
T
his series of picture books featuring a canine odd couple has become quite a favorite with young readers, for good reason. It does generate a lot of giggles!
