ven though she was warned to not open a box sent to her by the gods, Pandora could not hold her curiosity in check. When she finally did get the top off the box, out flew all sorts of nasty bugs. The
trouble
bugs caused
problems for Pandora and everyone else in Greece.
I
t was only when a fairy named
Hope
was also released from the box that the situation improved a little. The story ends on a positive note:
'
Sometimes bad things happen
But we hope things will get better.
And we hope
For good things to happen.
'
T
his is a nice way to introduce a young reader to a famous Greek myth while also encouraging the child to work on his or her reading skills. The illustrations are excellent and there's an interesting storyline here.
