A simple text illustrated with color photos tells the story of the monarch's full development from caterpillar to the time it emerges from the chrysalis. At the end of the book are four pages of activities that will engage the youngster and explain in greater detail how this wonderful transformation occurs. This would be an excellent resource to use in the classroom or if you are home schooling your child. After reading the book a trip to one of the local monarch habitats would certainly be in order.
