, it can be atmospheric and psychological.

The Mist in the Mirror
is a ghost story, it is also a wonderfully atmospheric mystery filled with psychological terror. Hill knows how to set a mood and keep it throughout the entire narrative, drawing the reader in so that they are as terrified as the protagonist. The ending is intense, but does leave the reader wanting more.
F
ans of good old-fashioned ghost stories must check out
The Mist in the Mirror
. Susan Hill is definitely a master of this genre.
