ou'll meet two snow leopard cubs in this picture book and follow their young lives in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Pakistan. It is not easy living in the harsh, cold conditions where finding food and avoiding various types of danger are always a concern.
W
hen the cubs are very young their mother must protect them from predators like large Golden eagles that will swoop down and snag the babies in ther talons. Later on when they are older, the cubs also learn not to fight over a fresh kill with a pack of wolves who greatly outnumber them.

Staying safe is more important than having a full stomach.

O
f course eventually the cubs will have to learn to hunt and find food for themselves. Their mother won't always be there to supply them with the necessities.
