ulie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, collaborate on this series of picture books and beginning readers editions.
G
eraldine, the self-proclaimed fairy princess in this book, explains at the beginning of the narrative that she has '
a feeling that I have inside, something SPARKLY that's hard to explain
'. She also likes to care for her subjects and make them feel happy because that's what fairy princesses are supposed to do.
S
ince her school is having a Winter Wonderland Festival, Geraldine will have the opportunity to sing in the chorus during the festival's concert and she hopes to be given a solo. Of course, the trick is to convince Mr. Higginbottom, the music teacher, that the fairy princess deserves the honor of singing a solo.
N
aturally things do not go as Geraldine hoped, but a snowstorm changes everything and, at the last minute, this little fairy princess is given the opportunity to sparkle!
I
f your little princess sometimes gets a little down because things don't happen as she would like, this picture book will lift her spirits and illustrate that if she doesn't lose hope and remains positive, everything will work out in the end.
