ith big, bold, bright illustrations, the
Baby Loves
series of board books appeals to young children. Little ones love lifting the flaps to discover what is hidden behind each one.
I
n this latest edition Baby lifts up his bedroom window curtain and sees a winter landscape outside. Once decked out in his warm, snow clothing, Baby goes out where he discovers all sorts of interesting things. There's a sled hidden under a pile of snowballs, a groundhog peeking out of its hole, and when Baby opens the fence gate he sees a snowplow coming down the street.
T
he biggest surprise of all, though, is when Mommy appears from behind a large pine tree carrying some yummy hot cocoa. How wonderful!
F
or parents just beginning to introduce their four or five month old youngster to books, these simple
Baby Loves
volumes are eye appealing and the lift the flap element adds a little excitement to the basic narrative. These are obviously not complicated stories but at this point in your child's development you are really just looking at the pictures anyhow. These are very eye appealing, colorful illustrations and that's what you want to start with.
