H
i. My name is Henry and I have a little dog named Charley. My grandpa is coming to stay and I am going to meet him at the train station with Charley. Now, I wrote grandpa a letter telling him I have a new dog but he replied that he had '
never been friends with a dog before
'. I'm not sure what that means but grandpa also wondered if Charley was '
friendly or fierce
'?
I
have a feeling that perhaps my grandpa and Charley may not get along too well. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
A
s you'll see when you read my picture book, the day grandpa arrived it was snowing and the wind was blowing. Since we do not live far from the train station, Charley and I walked over to meet grandpa. Grandpa and Charley just eyed one another when I introduced them.
T
his was sort of a reserved beginning but on the way home something happened that changed everything. I won't ruin the story by telling you what occurred, but it resulted in Charley and my grandpa becoming close, fast friends.
I
think you'll like my story and the really cool pictures. If you have a dog or a cat, you'll especially like how my dog bonded with my grandpa. That's the best part of my book.
