his picture book tells the story of how Tesla brought life-changing ideas to the United States and overcame the obstacles often placed in his way by Edison. Ahead of his time Tesla showed how alternating current could be harnessed to operate machinery. He also invented a loudspeaker for telephones and improved a wide range of crude electrical devices.

ne of Tesla's major accomplishments was setting up an AC system to light the Chicago World's Fair and following that feat, he harnessed the power of Niagara Falls.

. Here she explains the difference between AC and DC systems and how some of Tesla's inventions actually worked.
