e set up his equipment in attic rooms of the family villa and began his experiments. Once he got the basics working, he started testing over longer distances. He filed a patent in 1896 and set up his wireless telegraph for Queen Victoria's use. And, on December 12, 1901, he succeeded in sending a Morse code signal from Cornwall, England to St. John's Newfoundland.
