I
f you are like me, your mom or dad has a favorite nickname for you. In my case, as you'll see in this picture book, my mom calls me her '
little mouse
'. Frankly, I'm not so sure that is an accurate way of describing me. In fact, I know it's not!
I
'm actually not small like a little mouse but quite tall like a giraffe. Also, I am strong like a bull and as brave as a lion. Little mice just nibble their food but when I am hungry I chomp on my food like a hungry horse.
A
s you know, mice kind of squeak. Well, I can howl like a coyote and hoot like an owl. Mice don't fly but I can when I zoom high into the sky on my swing.
S
o, for these and a number of reasons, I don't think I should be compared to a mouse. Actually, that's not totally correct. There are times when I don't mind being '
Mommy's little mouse
' and, when you read my book, you'll see when I don't mind that comparison.
T
here are some really cute illustrations of me and various animals that make my picture book fun to page through. I think you'll really enjoy it and maybe you can identify the various creatures and critters you'll find here.
