hen Dinah hatches out of her egg there's much to see and do. When the little dinosaur sees two creatures kissing she decides she wants to do that too. But whom can Dinah kiss? Good question!
B
ut there's another problem, besides this one, that Dinah has to sort out. The dinosaur doesn't really know how to kiss and her first attempts are not only awkward but rather devastating for the other creature involved.
A
big '
Chomp!
' on the behind of a very large dinosaur doesn't endear Dinah to the recipient of the kiss. And certainly the '
Stomp!
' that mashes the next lucky creature doesn't qualify as a kiss either. When Dinah decides to pucker up for her next attempt at a kiss the end result is equally disastrous. She unfortunately ends up sucking the little creature into her mouth and swallows him. Ick!
N
early despairing that she'll never figure out how to kiss nor find someone to kiss, Dinah goes back to where she hatched. There she discovers another new baby dinosaur.
'
I will kiss you!
' Dinah says. '
What's a kiss?
' asks the baby. '
Chomp! Stomp! Whomp! Kiss!
' Together the two figure it out for themselves.
A
cute, if not somewhat bizarre story, this picture book will have little children laughing and perhaps saying, '
Silly dinosaur!
' as this book is read to them. When the story is finished be sure to engage in a few practice kisses together too!
