V
ery young children love board books and this one is destined to be a favorite in any household that has a child two years of age or older. Adorable color photos of newborn animals are matched with the letters of the alphabet to create a book that not only provides ABC practice but also allows the youngster to work on identifying animals.
T
he newborns were filmed at 25 zoos around the world. You'll find the zoos listed at the back of the book along with the photographers and names of the animals pictured. You'll also notice that these youngsters range from a cheetah, baboon, elephant and giraffe to more exotic animals like a nyala, tapir, yak, and dhole.
E
ach photo is accompanied by a sentence or two. For example, '
P is for panda. Phew ... I'm flat-out pooped from playing with my panda pals.
' To make the book more interesting you might ask your child how many words he or she can find here that begin with 'p'.
B
oard books don't usually feature a lot of pages but this one covers the entire alphabet. That means more pages, which makes it quite a bargain given the price.
