This is one of those books! One of Britain's best loved author-illustrators, Quentin Blake was made the country's first Children's Laureate in 1999. He has a whole shelf full of awards so there is no sense mentioning them all. Blake's distinctive cartoon characters are so recognizable that they when you see one you immediately know he penned the person or animal. This delightful ABC book not only features page upon page of Blake's illustrations but the text is also rhymed, which means your child will have fun mastering the alphabet from A to Z. 'M is for Mud that we get on our knees N is for Nose – and he's going to sneeze!' These are the rhymed sentences that accompany each letter and illustration. As you'll see, the pictures are quite silly and will surely elicit a few giggles from youngsters three and older.
