ummer time brings ladybugs back to the family garden but the colorful bugs are sometimes rather shy so they try to keep out of sight. This picture book for children two years of age and older features a ladybug who tries to keep out of sight. The trick is to carefully scan each page to discover where the little insect is hiding.

f, after searching for the elusive bug, you can't find her, flip the page and she'll peek out from her hiding place with a big smile on her face.
T
here are so many familiar objects on each page that, besides looking for the ladybug, you can ask your child to identify some of the other familiar objects like a chicken, car, rabbit, beach ball and sailboat.
A
lthough this may seem to be a pretty simple picture book, the creative parent can think of a number of ways of expanding its use. Not only can you practice identifying familiar objects but also try counting similar items on each page like cars, blocks or flowers, or looking for highlighted letters like a 'B' or an 'L'.
