his activity book retells the story of Noah's epic voyage. It begins with the construction of the ark followed by the collecting of all the animals. Then the rains begin and it rains and rains and rains. Of course, eventually the rain stops and the flood waters subside.
U
sing an array of stickers, young readers are asked to assist Noah in assembling the animals two-by-two, and to play a board game which gets the creatures to the ark. There are also exercises in spotting the differences between two pictures of the ark and recognizing animal silhouettes.
F
or a more hands experience, follow the directions for making gingerbread cookies. Or you can decorate an illustration of the ark or find stickers that match the seasons of the year. Finally, there's a counting challenge and you can try to figure out the missing words of a poem.

ot only is this a good way to keep young children busy on a rainy day but it also gives them the basic story of Noah's ark. Since it does feature quite a few small stickers, the book shouldn't be used with children who might still be tempted to put things in their mouths.
