'Impossible!' you say. But after reading this picture book and exploring the strange wonders of the Land of Neverbelieve, you might change your mind. The island's collection of odd natural wonders and bizarre creatures is quite dazzling as are some of its topographical features, such as Book Mountain and the awesome Spooky Dark Mountains. As you investigate such curious plants as the Tree of Horrible Hands, the Onion and Carrot Bush and the leafless Alphabet Tree, you'll be amazed by the extraordinary features pictured. The critters that inhabit this mysterious island are equally awe inspiring. There's a bird disguised as a fish, an eel that continually gets tied in knots, and a marsh bird that wears boots because it hates to get its feet wet. Norman Messenger allows his imagination to run wild in this flip-the-flap book and invites young readers seven and older to travel with him to this astonishing land of neverbelieve.
