This 'Steve Light Storybox' gives them the means to tell - and act out - the Rapunzel fairytale. As Steve light says in his introduction, 'When you tell a child a story you unlock their imagination.' This storybox comes complete with tower and platform top, a ladder, scissors and three figures - Rapunzel, the wicked witch who locks her in the tower, and the handsome prince who rescues her (after a final confrontation with the witch of course). Tell the story to a child (you might want to watch Steve Light's performance at GuideCraft.com for ideas first). Then encourage the child to tell the story back to you, and to friends and family, in their own way, and to make variations of it. For example, what if Rapunzel made her own escape, or rescued the prince? Or maybe the witch was not so bad after all. It's a cute concept - my only reservations are the price (which seems steep) and the fact that the story of Rapunzel might have been better presented in a picture book format, which would be more easily read by younger children.
