The ducks live on a river very close to my house. They preen, splash and, of course, they love to quack. Sometimes I notice the ducks go bottom up and stick their heads under the water to nibble on plants and little creatures. I know a lot about ducks and I share that information in my book. For example, did you know that boy ducks are called drakes and girls are mallards? Since we live so close to where the ducks live, they sometimes nest on our property to have their babies. The babies are called ducklings. As they hatch the mother duck gets the little ones right into the water where they are safe. I think you'll enjoy my book about ducks. I share all kinds of cool facts about ducks and the pictures are pretty ducky too! So, if you like ducks the way I do, waddle out to the nearest bookstore and get Just Ducks! Be careful, though. Don't go too fast because I don't want you to quack up and run into anything on the way!
