P
arents often must urge their children to
eat your peas
, but Keith Baker changes that request to
count your peas
in this picture book. This big, bold, counting book with large, splashy numbers and diminutive, green peas shown engaging in various activities, takes the reader from one to twenty and then by tens all the way up to one hundred.
Y
ou'll find three peas in a boat rowing and an oversized, blue colored number 3 hovering in the background. There are five peas painting, six peas traveling and seven peas jumping in a pea pool. Then it gets really busy. There are thirty peas traveling in bikes and four wheeled vehicles honking, sixty peas watching fireworks, and eighty peas laughing – ha, ha, ha!
D
esigned for children three years of age and older, this unusual counting book features some very peppy pea pals plugged into all sorts of cool activities. I doubt you'll have to urge your child more than once to '
Count your peas, please!
' They'll have so much fun tallying up the little, green, fellows on each page of the peafabulous book, they won't have to be bribed to do so!
