Page after page of large, color photos showcase tangelos, strawberries, cherries, apples, bananas and many more of your favorite fruits. Each photo is accompanied by the rhyming fruit chant the author created to provide the text for this simple book. 'Grab a guave. Live for lime. Pucker up, pal, it's lemon time! Grapefruit. Dragon fruit. What a find! Cantaloupe. Watermelon. Mind that rind!' Ok, so that's not the most inspired text in the world, but the reason you purchase this book is because you want the collection of photos. How do you use this book with a child? Use it as a visual guide for teaching the youngster the many kinds of fruit available. Then, when you go to the market, ask the child to find a banana, apple or pear.
