The poems are divided into four sections – Twins in the Waiting Womb, Twinfants, How to be One and Famous Twins. Along with the original verses you'll also find Twin Facts sprinkled throughout the book. These include such tidbits as 'If a woman has already delivered one set of fraternal twins, the odds of her having a second set are one in twelve.' And 'Nigeria is the nation with the highest number of multiple births.' And 'The record for the tallest twins belongs to identical twins Michael and James Lanier, who are both seven foot six.' With titles like Sing a Song of Sonogram, From Here to Maternity, Twinfestation, Twindependent, and What's It Like to be a Twin?, these poems obviously not only cover the total twin experience but the two authors make sure their poems will elicit a few smiles too. If you have twins, are expecting twins or know twins, keep this book in mind when it comes to the holiday season or a birthday. Not only does it make the ideal gift but this is a book you'll also want to read aloud to your own twosome when they are ready for bedtime stories. If your twins are much older, you'll have to naturally purchase two copies of the book so each one has his/her own copy. And, if you are a twin, wouldn't this be a nice surprise to give to your other half?
