his cute paperback features Percy and his buddies in a story that focuses on social skills and, more specifically, the art of listening. Percy loves to play and talk, but sometimes he is running and jumping so much that he doesn't listen.
O
ne day he misses an assignment his teacher gave the class because he wasn't listening. Then it happens again when Percy doesn't listen to the instructions for playing a new playground game. Obviously, poor Percy had to watch from the sidelines because he doesn't know the rules.
A
fter a few episodes like these, Pervy learns that he'd better hone his listening skills or he'll be left out of fun activities or have other, more serious, problems.

he message here is clear. You need to be a good listener to understand things, to learn new things and to be safe. If you have a child who isn't listening as he or she should, try using this book to underscore the problem and see how it can be remedied.
