B
edtime turns into a medieval adventure with this little knight as he has to overcome challenging obstacles to make it to the safety of his bed. First he must ride down a downstairs hallway which strangely resembles a dense forest. Then there's a steep mountain or, rather, a set of stairs to maneuver.
O
nce in the bathroom our brave knight has to bathe and brush his teeth, which means dodging dangerous crocodiles. Of course, on the way to the magic kingdom there's a three headed monster to slip past, but once through the bedroom door our knight is nearly there. Now, he only needs to scale up the tower (climb into bed) and rest his weary head on his soft pillow for a well earned night's rest.
L
ittle knights two years of age and older will find this a fun bedtime adventure and one they'll enjoy reading just before they ride off to Slumber Land. Not only is Owen Davey's muted color palette easy on the eyes but it sets the stage for
lights out
, which will come hard on the heels of finishing this story.
