Mouse and Poppa look out the window and see lots of fresh snow. What fun! With plenty of sound effects, the duo is off for a special day of sliding, and skating, and making snow angels and a snow house. When they are nearly finished playing in the snow, Poppa has one final surprise for Mouse. 'Roly, poly!' they create some snowballs of various sizes. 'Pick, poke!' Pappa fashions the snow into a very special snow creature. 'Look!' says Poppa to Mouse. 'A frosty little snow mouse just like you!' And so it is! After this perfect culmination of Mouse's first day in the snow, the pair return home with big grins on their faces. 'Happy winter, Mouse!' Poppa exclaims, putting his arm around Mouse. Little fingers will find it easy to flip the pages of this special winter adventure and, no doubt, Mouse's First Snow will be a favorite read aloud book for many months to come.
