' On the opposite page you'll find the answer. Flip the door on the right side and there's a wedge of cheese. Flip it on the opposite side and there are three, scary, black bats!

s you page through the book you'll find a bowl, tin decorated container, a toaster, purple cabinet, a jar with ghosts on the outside, and a big, red door.

or each item when you open it one way, you'll find something you would expect, like toast, biscuits or popcorn. But when you open it the other way, there will be a spooky, Halloween surprise. Behind the red door, though, is the best pop-up surprise of all ... but I won't spoil it for you!

have to admit it took me a few minutes to figure out that each kitchen item did open from both sides, so be patient and keep trying. Hint: Slip your fingernail on the edge of the flaps and you'll quickly get the hang of it!

ince this is a seasonal book, get a copy early so your child can enjoy it throughout the month. This would be a much appreciated treat that grandparents could give or send their grandchildren to heighten the excitement leading up to the 31st!
