I have my own house, my own bed and toys, and my own dish, but most of all, I have my own schedule. From the time I get up until I go to bed at night, everything happens at the same time each day like clockwork. My life was perfect until one day a stranger was introduced into my perfect world. No one asked me or said would I mind if Zorro, that's his name, came to live in our household. Oh, no! The front door opened and I heard, 'Mister Bud, say hello to Zorro! Zorro is moving in with us!' What a bummer! Of course there was trouble right off the bat. Two dogs in the same house? What a ridiculous idea! This was not a situation either of us relished. But then a very odd thing happened. Zorro and I realized, quite by accident, that we both had the same daily schedule. Now, how cool was that? Suddenly walks were more fun, nap time was more comfortable, and even bedtime was more exciting. Sure, Zorro was sometimes rather bossy and occasionally I was a little grumpy, but overall we learned to get along. In fact, Zorro and I are now best friends. And, I imagine, as long as everyone sticks to the schedule, we'll continue to be so in the future. If you think the cute illustrations of Zorro and me look kind of familiar, it may be because the man who created them, Carter Goodrich, has illustrated many New Yorker magazine covers and he was also the lead character designer for Despicable Me. He's also worked on other animated films like Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Open Season and Monsters, Inc..
