hree pigs have taken the big city by storm. They have launched the latest, big new trend. Everyone is into '
Oink!

How did you think of oink?
', people ask. '
Why oink? Who oinked first? What's the next big oink?

! From being on top of the world Hogg, Hogg & Hog were suddenly no longer relevant. Things looked pretty bleak for the threesome. What could they do to regain their position as the city's primo trend setters?

ou'll have to check out this picture book with its distinctive illustrations to see if Hogg, Hogg & Hog can match their first success. This is a clever story that satirizes the whole idea of hip trend setters who can coin a phrase or make a fashion statement that the masses quickly emulate. But whether it is appropriate for children between the ages of four and eight is questionable.
A
child might be captivated by the illustrations, but I think the underlying theme will be lost on any youngster. This was a little too quirky for my taste and although I might send a copy to a few adults I know, I'm not so sure I'd wrap it up to give a six or seven year old!
