ome visit a construction site and watch as the project boss orders the heavy equipment around. When he says, '
Level that pile!
', a big bulldozer lowers its blade and smoothes out the pile of gravel sitting there.

ext, the boss points to an empty space and says, '
Dig a hole!
' And within seconds, an excavator tips its bucket and begins digging. As the work progresses you'll see a front loader, large dump truck, soil compactor, cement mixer and very big crane perform various important tasks.
W
hen the project is completed a nice park with a pond will exist in what was once just an empty lot. The boss will declare the job is done and all the heavy equipment will move on to the next project.

hildren two years of age and up will enjoy this picture book that features oversized illustrations of construction machines at work. After reading the book a few times, see if you can find a real construction site where your son or daughter can identify the various machines.
