T
his breathtaking grand finale to Candlewick's pop-up
masters
trilogy presents some of the monsters and dragons that have prowled mythology and literature for centuries.
P
aper engineers Matthew Reinhart and Robert Sabuda have pushed the envelope in creating the creatures who pop out at the reader in this exquisite pop up volume. Whether it is a Kraken grappling with a ship on the high seas, a vampire reaching out from his open coffin, or Medusa in all her slithering, snaky glory, the creatures that you'll find here are sure to leave a lasting impression.
M
ost remarkable is perhaps the fact that not only does each two page spread offer one large pop up, but you'll also find at least two smaller ones behind flaps arranged on the sides of the pages. That's at least three pop-ups per page, plus the text that introduces each set of creatures.
T
he fact that there are over two million copies of the books in this limited series in print already speaks to its popularity. Adults and children alike have purchased these remarkable books, which are destined to be highly sought after by collectors in the future.
N
ot only is this limited edition book good fun, but it could turn out to be a very good investment as well!
