ith Mother's Day not that far off, here's a wonderful picture book for preschoolers that would also make a thoughtful gift for Mom's special day.
T
he young child featured in this book explains why he loves his mommy very, very much. He tells us that not only is she '
great to cuddle, soft to touch
' but he also likes to watch his mom '
brush her hair, and dance around in her underwear!
' and Mom helps him wipe his '
grubby nose
' and tickles him between his toes.
T
his somewhat unconventional list of reasons why the child loves his mom also includes their trips shopping in a little red car, eating out, toilet training, and bedtime story time.
W
hen you read the final pages of this book with big, bold illustrations you'll find it easy to agree with the little boy's concluding statement, '
I know that if you met her, you would really love my mommy too!
'
I
ndeed we would, for this is one very special mom who deserves to be applauded for all the wonderful things she does for her child. Sometimes mothers, unfortunately, don't hear this praise and appreciation enough!
