his paperback contains some wonderful poems that should appeal to girls of all ages. When you are trying to create an enthusiasm for poetry in young readers, it is often wise to begin by using works which cater to one sex or the other. This might mean poems featuring princesses and witches versus great heroes and dangerous animals.
